Universal Red Laser Boresight for 17–50 Caliber Firearms
I’ve had the pleasure of trying out the Sightmark Sm39024 Triple Duty Universal Boresight, and I must say, it has been a game-changer in my hunting and shooting adventures. This nifty tool is designed to sight in. 17-. 50 caliber rifles, shotguns, and pistols, and boy does it do its job efficiently. What stood out to me immediately is the simplicity of its design. There are no additional attachment pieces to lose, which means less hassle and more fun on the range.
The tri-magnetic self-centering design is a standout feature. It lets you attach the unit onto the end of the barrel instead of the inside, thus preventing metal from poking into the barrel. It’s as easy as placing the base of the bore sight onto the barrel end, and it will attach magnetically. I’m not exactly the handiest person, but even I could manage this one!
Included in the package, you’ll find a carrying case, three AG3 batteries, and instructions to help you get started. The laser was as advertised, and the built-in magnet made it super easy to attach to various firearms. I must admit, I was a bit worried about battery life at first, but an hour of operation was more than enough for me to get the job done.
The only small drawback I encountered was that the dot size can sometimes be a little too large for my liking, especially at longer distances. But overall, this bore sight is well worth the investment. It saves time, money, and ammo, and helps in achieving more accurate shots. Highly recommended!
Explore Scientific ReflexSight: Versatile, High-Performance Red Dot Sight for Astronomy
I recently had the chance to try out the Explore Scientific ReflexSight Finder Red Dot ES-REFLECT-00, and let me say, I’m impressed! This little gem fits onto any telescope with a mini-Vixen-style dovetail base, making it super versatile. The smooth body style and easy-to-access battery compartment make it a breeze to use, even when wearing gloves.
One of the standout features is the adjustable brightness knob. It’s so smooth and easy to operate, I didn’t have any issues even when my hands were chilly. And the three-point parallax adjustment knobs on the back are a nice touch, too. They’re easy to use and allow for precise adjustments.
However, there was one downside. The ReflexSight didn’t fit perfectly in my Orion-style finder mount, so I had to do some filing to make it work. And there’s something odd about the light shield/cover. It slides over the lens when the telescope is pointed up, which seems kind of counterintuitive.
But overall, the Explore Scientific ReflexSight has been a fantastic addition to my stargazing setup. Its compact size and user-friendly design make it a joy to use, and the quality is top-notch. If you’re in the market for a red dot finder, this one definitely deserves a look!
Affordable Octane Stryker 5 Pin Fixed Pin Sight with 10% Larger Field of View
For my daily range sessions, I’ve been experimenting with the Octane Stryker Fixed Pin Sight. The ultra-bright pins have been a game-changer, helping me quickly identify my target and focus without straining my eyes. The sight’s 10% larger field of view has allowed me to zero in on my targets faster, increasing my overall accuracy.
While I appreciate the mounting holes for aftermarket sight lights, the hi-vis level could be a tad more adjustable to suit everyone’s preferences. However, the clear, bold windage and elevation markers have been consistently reliable, allowing me to make precise adjustments every time. Overall, the Octane Stryker Fixed Pin Sight has been a sturdy and efficient addition to my range gear, and I can’t wait to see how it performs in the field.
Octane Stryker Fixed Pin Sight for Improved Accuracy
Imagine a sunny afternoon at the archery range, and I’m eager to test my skills with the Octane Stryker Fixed Pin Sight. This sight boasts ultra-bright pins, a hi-vis level, and a 10% larger field of view compared to other 1–3/4" housings, all designed to help me get on target faster and with more precision.
While the initial setup was a bit challenging, I quickly grew fond of the sight’s user-friendly features. The sight lights and mounting holes were particularly useful in low-light settings, ensuring consistent accuracy even when conditions weren’t ideal. Overall, the Stryker Fixed Pin Sight proved to be a reliable and versatile tool, enhancing my archery performance and helping me become a better marksman.
Sightmark Solitude 20–60x60SE Spotting Scope Kit
The Sightmark Solitude 20–60x60SE Spotting Scope Kit has become my reliable companion for spotting game from a distance. The 60mm objective lens diameter and straight eye piece provide a clear and detailed view, while the rotatable mount ring allows for versatility. The aluminum prism coating ensures optimal light transmission and the included tripod and carry case keeps the scope protected.
While the 3mm exit pupil diameter seemed a tad small in bright light conditions, the 52.5ft field of view at 1000yds and 107.4ft field of view at 1000yds with minimum power have proved handy for tracking game in various settings. The waterproof feature adds an extra layer of protection from the elements. The only downside was the minimum focus distance of 14ft, but overall, this scope is a winner for those who need a flexible and long-standing spotting scope.
